In your opinion, how does the media drag down humanity?

Media (news, magazines, radio, ect). Like, you know how theres always a , murder, pedophile story? All of that stuff gets people so paranoid, like if theres ALWAYS someone waiting to straight-murder your family. Whenever theres a "good" story, like a teacher saving a couple of students from a raging lunatic it's mentioned in ping, yet when Kanye West proves for the 15th time people should stop letting hold on to a mic it's a "Scandel"? The fact that negative things are held in uch high regard kinda brings down peoples morale, it's very disillusioning. Any specific examples you've noticed?
