Why don't more conservatives get into education to stem the liberal tide?

Why don't more conservatives, tea party members, Dittoheads, Beck fanatics, creationists and Palin followers continue their education up to the Ph.D. level so that they can become the dominant ones on campus nowadays? They could help balance out the educational atmosphere. We know that plenty of people in the aforementioned groups are highly educated, but if they would continue up to the doctorate level, then they would have more access to the universities and be able to soften the Marxist bias. There are some conservative universities where they could further their studies: Bob Jones, BYU, Grove City, Regent, Oral Roberts, etc. Seriously, why aren't more of them taking this path ----universities need the intellectual stimulation and original ideas brought forth by followers of Rush, Palin and Beck.
